Time: 1980
Place: somewhere in Western Europe
Characters: two 15 or 16 yo girls
I want a character to refer to a movie kiss as in "Well, [actor or character] he [= speaker's crush] isn't, but...".
What actor/character in what movie/scene could she be referring to? Something they'd consider highly romantic with an added dose of "classy" and/or angst.
They have rather mainstream tastes (mostly Hollywood), with some interest in classic movies, and aren't that interested in teen romances or musicals.
I'm romance-challenged and cannot come up with anything that feels right, so I'd be grateful for any ideas.

How appropriate is it that Bulletproof Temp is a huge Cowboy Bebop fan?

Stolen from
dargie. This is the "Omnivore's Hundred" as compiled by Very Good Taste.
1) Copy this list into your blog or journal, including these instructions.
2) Bold all the items you’ve eaten.
3) Cross out any items that you would never consider eating (Note from me: While I've struckthrough a few items, that's always on the understanding that I wouldn't seek these foods out or pay for them. If I were offered a taste, I'd still give it a go. :D)
4) Optional extra: Post a comment at www.verygoodtaste.co.uk linking to your results. (You can also go here to find links to explanations of the less-identifiable foods).
( Have: Eaten Scrapple. Have Not: Encountered Pho. )
Looks like I have some eatin' ahead of me...

So
beasiesgal liked the first story I did for her Kaigan called "Hope and Faith" so I wrote another. Have some hankies handy.
Title: Grace

Rating: PG-13
Notes: Kaigan belongs to
beasiesgal. All other Naruto characters do not belong to me. This is set almost directly after "Hope and Faith" There will probably be a third story.

I'm still swamped, and been more skimming Flists rather than reading them carefully, which means I may have missed some things. I've tried to at least keep track of any major announcements, but if I didn't, please accept my apologies. I'm even slow on reading the Harry/Cedric stories from the promts. *iz bad promptr*
I think I'm BRAIN DEAD at this point, and I need to do something different. Things are starting to slow down, although please note I'm making this post at almost 1pm, because I only got done with class prep and various about 11pm. So ... a recent how-to post linked off The Daily Snitch brought up something I've considered before. I know some writers do podcasts on their stories, but I've never been too sure what I'd say. But I have done readings of my stories before (not fanfic, mind), and it occurred to me that doing a fanfic reading might be fun ... assuming anybody else thinks so. Some people like hearing an author's take on her own story, the rhythm of the dialogue, the emphasis she intended, etc. Some people aren't the least interested and prefer NOT to hear that, want no author-interference.
The other option might be to take some questions and answer them verbally this time, instead of written. I'd definitely post what fandoms, stories or possibly even what questions I'd answered, so people wouldn't have to download something big for a crapshoot. If more/most people are more interested in an interview, I'd post separately to invite questions.
But either option would be something different, and maybe less time-consuming (assuming I can figure out the software). Ergo, I thought I'd ask, see what y'all think. Below are actually *two* polls. The first is visible (uncut), the second behind a cut. It is, btw, perfectly okay to say you're not interested in such a thing. Sometimes I like hearing an author do a reading, and sometimes I'm just not interested, so my feelings won't be hurt if it's not your thing, either. This would be only video, not audio.

Title: Test
Pairing: None characters - Sandaime, Kakashi
Summary: There was always a 'but.'
Disclaimer: Still not mine.
(wasn't sure if this was allowed since Iruka isn't involved but well he might be later so... *shrugs* it depends on if I can get it where I want it. This could be considered a prequel to Rejection and Flowers...)

In chapter two there's a visual I couldn't quite capture in words. When you come across it you'll see why I used this image; that is a genuine Armani blazer-jacket. I thought I might as well make a nice "book cover" for the fic as long as I was showing it off, which is fifty thousand words long and therefore almost the length of a novel.
It looks rather like some kind of hip summer beach-reading book, doesn't it?
